Captain James Low,Acting Resident Councillor of Penang,Malaysia in 1835.He was born in 1791 Kettle,Fifeshire,Scotland.He was 46th Madras Native Infantry.His parents was Alexander Low, 'Gentleman' & Anne Thomson.Educated In Edinburgh College.He entered in the Madras Army,India.He married 1stly Habie Bah a local native & 2ndly Elspeth Robertson.He was in civil charge of Province Wellesley, inland of Penang on the Malay peninsula.Promoted to Lieutenant-Colonel.He died in 1852,Newington,Portobello,Scotland.
